It's official. The SWA Championship will be up for grabs at Spring Breakdown, the latest SWA Pay Per View event, which is just under 2 weeks away. The big news is that the new Champion could be just about anyone.
SWA owners and General Managers, The Rev and Gladiator, made the surprise announcement at the start of last Saturday's episode of Fever. The entire Spring Breakdown event will be a one night open tournament to crown the new SWA Champion. The announcement can be viewed here:

Who will become the latest SWA Champion? The options are endless. Whether it be an undefeated wrestler, or an underdog who has never won a single match in their career, this tournament will be open to all. The new SWA Champion could end up being an established SWA star such as Kid Cannabis, Mr. Kiljoy, Gabreal Martin or Teen Throb, or it could end up being a first time competitor making their debut the night of the event.
Former champions such as Kid Cactus, Rat Fink, Scaramanga, Sledjhamma, Gavin Storm, and Kevon Matthews all became legends through their reigns, but none had to go through the ordeal of winning multiple matches in one night. The new Champion will have their work cut out for them on May 3rd. They will also go in blind, as first round matches will be kept secret until the opening moments of Spring Breakdown on May 3rd.
