Larsen Van Der Kamp stands in a dark alley. He looks at his watch and seems impatient. Officer Ule Patel walks around the corner.
LARSEN:
"What took you so long?"
PATEL:
"Things are pretty haywire right now."
LARSEN:
"So I've heard."
PATEL:
"What have you heard?"
LARSEN:
"I've heard that you have informants in every level of the organizations, and are crippling Nasso'rs operations."
PATEL:
"All operations except yours."
LARSEN:
"You lied to me."
Patel looks confused.
PATEL:
"What have I lied about?"
LARSEN:
"You told me that you didn't have any informants close to Nassor and that's why you needed me. Nassor told me you have informants at the highest level."
PATEL:
"I said what I had to say to get you on board. Like it or not, you are our best shot at getting to the top."
LARSEN:
"You had informants at the top. You didn't need me, and you haven't held up your end of the bargain. I'm risking my life for you, and you have done nothing to help me."
PATEL:
"Done nothing to help you? The only reason you are still alive is because of me. Why do you think every mission you go on ends in success. I am killing myself keeping the rest of the police off of you. Our orders for operatives in your organization are shoot to kill. If it wasn't for me you'd be pushing up daisies right now so spare me your whiny sob story. Every second of my day is spent trying to protect you, and keep you safe, and successful in Nassor's eyes."
LARSEN:
"Why me? If you had informants higher up than me, why not use them?"
PATEL:
"You can't trust men who will sell out their loyalties. They are only doing it to keep themselves out of jail. You have a greater purpose. I don't trust you, but I believe when the time comes you will do the right thing."
LARSEN:
"What makes you so sure?"
PATEL:
"I spend all day tracking down the scum of the earth, I know scum when I see it, and you are not scum."
LARSEN:
"Nassor's given me a seat at the table. We meet tonight."
PATEL:
"I know. The time to strike is coming. All I need now is for you to gain access to the top. Getting Nassor is good, but I want the King. I want his brother behind bars... or dead, either way I'm happy. Play your cards right and Nassor will bring you to him."
Patel starts to walk away.
LARSEN:
"Patel!"
Patel turns around and faces Larsen.
LARSEN:
"I never thanked you for giving me this chance."
PATEL:
"Don't thank me yet. The worst is yet to come."
Patel walks away. Larsen walks off in the opposite direction.
It's hard enough to go through life not knowing your history. Not knowing what kind of man you were. Not knowing if you were one of the good guys or not. Living a double life without knowing those things is even harder. It's nice to hear Patel say that he doesn't think I'm like them, but I still wonder. Nassor surely wouldn't trust me so much if I wasn't valuble to him in the past. Perhaps the puzzle will all come together soon. I only hope I like the end result.

"Sadistic Rage is upon us. It figures that on the night of one of my greatest opportunities, Gabreal Martin finally accepts my challenge. Don't get me wrong I am thrilled to finally have a chance to get my hands on him, but the timing is awful. The question really is, what will be left of me after the Extreme Combat match. I have to face not one, but two men in an Impaler match. Not only has The Sedition ensured that I wouldn't be at 100% when I face Gabe, they've created a stipulation where if I lose, I probably will be in a hospital bed by the time the match is set to begin. But all that I'll address later. Right now my focus is on the Extreme Combat title. The title that is proving to be more prestigious than the SWA Championship. Leading up to Apocalypse Now, the last Fever before the show the two competitors in the SWA Championship match Ian DeTornado and myself each faced off against the two competitors in the Extreme Combat Chapionship match Teen Throb, and Captain Insanity, and we both lost. Last episode of Fever I, the #1 contender for the Extreme Combat Championship faced Psycho Dragon, the #1 contender for the SWA Championship and won. This would lead me to believe that one of two things are true. Either the pressure of competing for the SWA Championship brings out the worst in competitors, or the Extreme Combat Championship brings out the best in competitors. I for one believe the latter.
The fans don't come out to see the SWA Championship, they come out to see Extreme Combat. The bloodthirsty fans don't care about who is called the undisputed champion, they only come to see blood. That is what they get from Extreme Combat. The Extreme Combat division is the backbone of the SWA.This is what I have realized, and this is what drives me today. I would be glad to be the SWA Champion, but I would be proud to be the Extreme Combat Champion. Perhaps it's just sour grapes because I lost in my chance to become SWA Champion, but I truly believe that Extreme Combat is what makes SWA unique, and this is why you see those who are competing for the title step up their game. Ian DeTornado has proven that you can coast your way to becoming the SWA Champion, but in Extreme Combat you cannot coast. Ask Captain Insanity, who tried to coast to the title based on his legacy of Extreme Combat. He ended up at the bottom of the ocean.
I will not make the same mistake he did. I will give every ounce of strength and ability that I have to become the Extreme Combat Champion. I know my opponents will do the same. Teen Throb has already proven that he is capable of destroying his competition. Branden Harvey is clearly hungry and has stepped up his game. I know that I will not be able to coast. Branden seems to lack confidence. He is doubting that he can win, his own wife seems to doubt that he can win. Let me give you some advice Branden, if you go into a match like this lacking confidence, you will end up getting a spike through you. You have to come out with all guns blazing. You have to come out prepared to rip your opponents head off. I hope that you are ready to rip off mine, because I know I will not hesitate to rip off yours.
The again who am I to talk. Teen Throb was right about me. I can always win the little matches, but the big one has always eluded me. Teen Throb on the other hand knows how to step up. I could talk about the victory I hold over him all I want, but the question is can I win when it counts? Teen Throb has done his best to make me look foolish, and has picked apart my life and tried to make a joke out of it. I'm glad my misfortunes have provided him with clever anacdotes. Meanwhile he tries to cling to his forgotten musical legacy, and makes a fool of himself. Makes me feel better about myself. Teen Throb is great, there is no doubt there. He is the real deal. He comes across like an idiot, but he know how to fight. I know that I have to step up my game against him, and that is exactly what I will do. I will be the Extreme Combat Champion, and then I will get my revenge on The Sedition."[/b]
