Larsen Van Der Kamp sits next to Tau in the back of a luxury sedan. They are both dressed in suits.
TAU:
"It is quite the privelege to meet with Nassor in his own home."
LARSEN:
"I guess you were right about that inner circle thing."
TAU:
"Either that, or he wants us dead."
Larsen looks nervous at this statement. Tau starts to laugh.
TAU:
"You should see your face my friend."
LARSEN:
"Yeah... good one."
The car pulls up to the gates of a mansion on the outskirts of Johannesburg. The gates open and the car drives them to the front door. Larsen looks out the window as Nassor stands outside the door waiting to greet them. Larsen forces a smile.
Even though you are disgusted by this man, remember the more he trusts you, the closer you get to him. The closer you get to him, the more the memories may be unlocked.
Tau and Larsen get out of the car and walk up the steps to the front door where Nassor shakes their hands.
NASSOR:
"Welcome friends. Please come in."
Nassor leads them through the spectacular entranceway of the house. Larsen and Tau marvel at the beauty of it. Nassor leads them to his study at the end of the hall. The study is filled with massive bookshelves that reach straight to the 12 foot ceiling. Nassor sits behind the desk and motions for Tau and Larsen to sit across from him. They both take a seat.
NASSOR:
"So Larsen, do you like what I've done with the place?"
LARSEN:
"I'm sorry, have I been here before."
Nassor laughs at the confused Larsen.
NASSOR:
"No. It`s just a little amnesia humor."
Larsen forces a laugh.
LARSEN:
Never heard that one before."
Larsen looks at the large bookshelves.
NASSOR:
"Do you like to read?"
LARSEN:
"As often as I can. Sometimes as I read a book, a story will begin to feel familiar. Sometimes I can even recall the ending after reading the first chapter. "
NASSOR:
"Yes, memories are fleeting, but knowledge... knowledge never departs. Is this not so?"
LARSEN:
"True. When I woke up in the hospital, I could not remember my name, but I still knew how to tie my shoe."
TAU:
"To me books are just a waste of precious time. Why waste your time with your nose in a book. Here in this city, the action is right in front of your eyes."
Nassor laughs.
NASSOR:
"That is why I like you Tau. You are practical."
Nassor sighs.
NASSOR:
"You can always trust the practical thinkers. You can trust the logical thinkers, like you Larsen. It is the emotional thinkers that cause all the trouble."
LARSEN:
"Am I a logical thinker?"
NASSOR:
"You are aware that there are things that Tau and I are hiding from you, yet you work with us anyways with no questions asked. Obviously you feel working with us will help to trigger your memory and help you learn of your past. This is logical, is it not."
LARSEN:
"I suppose so."
Nassor opens a file sitting on his desk.
NASSOR:
"This man, Officer Ule Patel. He is an emotional thinker. He is determined to destroy our operation. This determination is driven by emotions I would say. You have met with him several times Larsen. What is your assessment?"
LARSEN:
"He is arrogant, pushy, unsophisticated."
NASSOR:
"Arrogant. Yes he is truly arrogant. He has been derailing more of our operations than I care to admit. He has reached into the upper echelon of our organization, and corrupted some of my closest advisors. My brother is not pleased. Never before have we had so much trouble with informants. This man is good."
TAU:
"I never thought it would be possible for him to get to the guys at the top."
NASSOR:
"For most men it would not be, but Ule Patel as I said is emotionally driven, and he is obsessed with destroying us. He has managed to corrupt nearly every cell group we have. He has managed to stop deals that only the top people would know of. Every operation we have shows signs of infiltration... except yours."
Tau and Larsen exchange a look.
NASSOR:
"Tau, your men have proven to be quite useful."
TAU:
"My men are the best. Only the best can make it through my training."
NASSOR:
"This is true. It is also true that the man sitting next to you is the best of the best. Larsen, I must admit that I was skeptical of you when you returned to us. Tau assured me of your value. I trust Tau, and I must say you have not disappointed. I have something to ask of you men."
TAU:
"Name it."
NASSOR:
"There are plenty of seats at the top for you men. I have decided to make your cell my exclusive task force. You will be tasked with all high priority missions. All other cells will be filtered for informants, it will then be your jobs to deal with the informants appropriately. I am making you two my top advisors on street matters. Soon I will be meeting with all my top trusted advisors to discuss a strategy for dealing with this matter, I will expect the two of you to be there, that is if you are willing to accept my offer."
TAU:
"I would be honored."
LARSEN:
"We will be there."
NASSOR:
"Very good then. You will receive word of the time and place that this meeting will occur. Good night gentlemen."
Tau and Larsen shake Nassor`s hand and leave the house. They get back into the luxury sedan and it drives away.
TAU:
"Power my friend, all men want it... now we have it."
Larsen smiles and looks out his window as the car drives away.
Only, power does not interest me. All I care about is getting my memory back. This is proving harder than I thought. First it was just a few jobs here and there, now I am a top advisor. He clearly does not know about my deal with Patel, and it has to stay that way. I only hope I can get my memory back soon. I do not know how much more of this I can take.

"It's funny how life goes. A month ago I was a man with no direction, personally and professionally. I was defeated, I felt like giving up. Now, new opportunities have presented themselves in and out of the ring. On Nov. 29 I will be receiving an Extreme Combat title shot. This shot was not handed to me, I earned it in a hard fought battle. I am proud to be the #1 Contender for the Extreme Combat title. Some would say that this is a step down from where I was back at Apocalypse Now. I was the #1 contender for the SWA Championship. I don't consider it a step down, but rather a new chapter in my career. The time was not right for me to win the SWA Championship, my head was not in it. The fire was not in my belly. I was not enjoying myself. This time the story will be different.
However that battle is for another day. This week my battle is with the current #1 Contender for the SWA Championship Psycho Dragon. I find it hard to accept him as a deserving challenger. Sure he has racked up several victories, and is undefeated, but his dedication is just not what it should be. As I was on the chase for title, I earned the shot by defeating 3 opponents in 2 seperate matches in 1 night. You won your title shot by defeating your retarded partner in crime, and since then have done absolutely nothing. I faced all comers on my way to Apocalypse Now, I even defeated the champion in a non title match. What have you truly proven here? How did you earn this shot? I had to work harder to earn both title shots I have received in the SWA, than you have to earn yours. Your rise to the top here has been so easy, it's practically been paved with gold. I had to scratch and claw my way to the top with The Sedition always trying to hold me down, but this clown has no difficulty whatsoever.
Sure, alot of people are impressed by you, and why not. You are undefeated after all. 5-0 record, that's pretty impressive to some, but I've been there before. I've sat at the top with the best record, and I've watched it all slip away. I'm not impressed with someone racking up a few wins. I am impressed with someone who shows a dedication to their craft. I'm impressed by someone who displays a fighting spirit. I don't see that in you. I see someone who worked for a chance, then as soon as that chance came, you got lazy. Where have you been since winning your title shot? You have done jack squat since becoming #1 contender. So what, you got what you wanted so now you don't have to work for it. Give me a break.
I find nothing in you to be impressed by. I am not amused by your zany antics. I am not amused by your dumb and dumber act with Ultimo Doom. You may have some talent, but life is a joke to you. Maybe it's just because my life isn't really one worth laughing about, but I like to take things a little more seriously. I for one am ashamed of the fact that the SWA is being represented by someone who's claim to fame is running around in a mask, making a fool of himself. What a shame it would be to see you holding the SWA Championship. You sir are an embarassment. I for one cannot wait to put you in your place. It is time for you to learn what defeat tastes like, and I will be so happy to be the one to give you that taste.
Save the comedy act for Open Mic night Dragon, because I am not impressed by it. If you want to impress me, show me you're more than a fly by night competitor who comes and goes as he pleases. Show me you actually want to accomplish something here. Show me you won't be another champion who only brings his A game when something is on the line. No disrespect Tornado, but you haven't exactly done the SWA Championship proud. If the belt were on the line everytime you stepped in the ring you would have lost it twice already. So please "PsyDrag" show me something, because right now the thought of you being the SWA Champion makes me sick. Fever for me is going to be about more than beating the #1 Contender. It's going to be about showing the Evolution of the Extreme Combat Division, and the de-evolution of the SWA Championship division. One thing is for sure, that belt was much more prestigious when a serious competitor was chasing it than it is right now with this walking joke masquerading as a legitimate contender.
As for our special referee Ian DeTornado. I believe I've spoken about my opinion of you already. I will not go as far as to call you a disgrace, which is more than I can say for my opponent this week, but I will call you a disappointment. I will set out to prove that the Extreme Combat division is where the elite belong. The SWA Championship under it's current Champion and contender are simply Bush league. I invite Psycho Dragon to prove me wrong. Show me that you deserve this shot that was basically handed to you. If you can beat me, I will say no more on the matter, but I doubt that will happen. I don't hate you, but I have no respect for you, and I will be happy to expose your weakness, and show the whole world that you are an amateur. Extreme Combat is the place to be in the SWA, watch on Fever, and you will see."
