I'm kind of new to efedding. It seems like all of you guys are really good. I'm still just learning. Are there any pointers you guys have that could help me get better?

No worries about being new, we all have to start somewhere. I actually got my E-fedding start here in SWA.
We were actually discussing you're character in the staff section.
I would suggest trying to incorporate a story element into your rp's. You're trash talk is good.
The story element can be anything. It could be a continuous story that takes places over several rp's. An example of this style is Van Der Kamp. Another style of story element is to have something different each week. For example, when I'm writing a Captain Insanity rp my story portion usually focuses on what he would be doing during the week between shows. Others will tell a story that has nothing to do with their characters in ring life, Mr. Strange from EWC is a perfect example of that style.
The key to which ever style you choose is to keep the reader entertained.
Another thing to consider is to possibly work with other roster members to create a storyline. This won't necessarily increase your chances of winning but may make your stay here more enjoyable.

Do everything I do. Other than that I can only say try to write naturally. Don't force a character. Keep in mind it took everyone else a while to get used to efedding and even with experience it can take a while to get the feel for a character. I guess there are lots of things that help me but who knows if it would work for you. My first character was a homeless bum called Sniper in EWC. It was a great idea but for a character but I didn't have a feel for the character so after a while I got bored with it and my Rps made less and less sense. I came up with Teen Throb for a fed called EAW and SWA after that. I liked the idea for the character buy still struggled until I gave TT different characters to work off of. I wrote in a manicurist for him, a manager, band mates. It made my stories easier to write. Having supporting characters is necessity for me.I also try to plan a bigger story to be told over time. It's good to know where your character is going well in advance. In the end each week I try to reveal a little more about my characters story and make sure my rant is actually accurate. Know something about your opponent before you trash them. None of us have the perfect formula so just tinker with the character over time and see what works for you

There's a section on the site in the Information area that covers how RPs are judged. Everyone has it right so far that you figure out what style works best for you. This page will give you a rough idea of how we judge RPs, although keep in mind there are very few set rules. It usually comes down to personal preference. sedition.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=rules1&action=display&thread=609The best thing anyone can do is read as many RPs as you can. See what impresses you and figure out if you can incorporate any of that style in. Also keep in mind that if you have an idea, run it past us, and we'll brain storm with you to work out something for your character. We like to work with the roster.
