- Captain Insanity sits on the couch in his apartment, watching the weekly re-airing of Saturday Night Fever. Insanity scoffs as Larsen covers Hawthorne for the three count. –
CI: So close to a shot and robbed by an old man that can’t keep up anymore.
- Fever goes off the air and the local news appears on the screen. The news reporters start off the newscast with a discussion about the upcoming G20 summit. Insanity reaches for the remote to turn off the TV but stops when the newscast shows a diagram of the Summit area and the restricted areas. –
CI: Fuck, it figures I’d be living in a restricted zone and an area of expected high protester activity.
- Insanity turns up the volume and continues to listen to the news. -

- Captain Insanity looks out the window of his high-rise apartment, below on the ground workers and police are setting up barricades. Trim stones are being removed by a bicycle cop from central flower beds and thrown in the back of a city truck; stray heavy objects are being rounded up as well. Further down the street twenty police officers in full riot gear make their way north headed towards where a major protest is expected to start. Insanity continues to watch the events on the ground, the tension mounting between protesters and police.
A small skirmish breaks out and the violent protesters are quickly dealt with; in hopes of setting an example for other would be attackers. The offending protesters are dragged into a nearby building as a bus of re-enforcements arrives. The protesters should in anger and defiance. –
CI: This should certainly make for an interest afternoon tomorrow, how the hell am I going to get to the airport?
- Insanity walks away from the window and starts to pack his gear for the upcoming show. -
CI: Tomorrow I face Old Man Hawthorne in an Extreme Combat match in the nation’s capital. You’ve got Cops being up protesters and hippies and then you’ll have me beating down the elderly in an anything goes Extreme Combat match.
Hawthorne, you’re going to teach me a lesson? Would that be the lesson you failed to teach me last week? I know you’re getting up there in age but is your memory really that bad, that you can’t remember last week and your loss to Van Der Kamp? Sure you beat some rookie last week, so did I. What’s your point?
You’re one of the few guys on the roster that I have a true respect for. You’ve been around forever, you’re older than dirt and have seen just about every major trend and fad come and go. I also don’t doubt or under estimate you Extreme Combat skills, I’ve seen you hold your own; especially that Nursing home match when you’re prune juice was at stake. You might have shown your Grandson that you can beat up a couple of drunken scabs in a bar, but I can assure you that I won’t be drunk when we face off in the ring.
I might not be World Champion material but I bleed Extreme Combat, this is something I don’t have to tell you. You know I’m more than qualified to call myself a legend, an icon. I could go as far to say I’m the corner stone of the Extreme Combat division in this organization. You said it yourself, Wrestling isn't about athleticism. It's about two men fighting it out to find out who is the better man.
Tomorrow night in Ottawa, we’ll find out just who is the better man.

- Insanity steps out from of the lobby of his apartment building, the street is eerily quiet. Insanity heads down the street and hangs a right to catch the street car. He looks down the street and sees a wall of cops matching down the street; gas masks on, shields and batons in hand. Insanity stops and turns around and is faced with a herd of protesters marching towards the cops. Insanity looks back and forth between the two groups, epic battle moments from unfolding.
Insanity turns towards the protesters and starts towards them, as he nears closer he tilts his head from side to side, loosening up. He reaches the first row of protesters and tries to push past them, they resist and Insanity punches a protester in the face. The protester falls to the ground as surrounding protesters grab at Insanity, trying to take him down. Insanity fights back, knocking them all down. A smaller protester yells and charges at Insanity and is sent down with a big boot to the face; Insanity choke slams another protester to the street. Insanity fights his way through the crowd of protesters and disappears down a side street and continues his way to the street car.-
