Larsen Van Der Kamp approaches his apartment. Sitting outside is his friend Jacoline.
LARSEN:
"What are you doing here?"
JACOLINE:
"I'm waiting for you. You haven't been returning my calls. I haven't seen or heard from you in more than a month."
LARSEN:
"I've been busy."
JACOLINE:
"I know. I learned of what happened to Officer Streppner on the news. It's horrible. Is he going to be ok?"
LARSEN:
"I couldn't possibly care any less about what happens to that snake. I just want him awake enough to tell me the truth."
JACOLINE:
"The truth about what?"
LARSEN:
"It's better if you don't know."
JACOLINE:
"Why do you always say things like that? I'm trying to be a friend to you here, and you're shutting me out again."
LARSEN:
"I don't need a friend alright. I need answers. If I'm going to get those answers I'm going to have to do some things that you won't like. I am going to have to do some things that will put you in danger. I won't allow you to be involved anymore."
JACOLINE:
"That's not you're decision to make."
LARSEN:
"I'm sorry Jacoline, but you're going to have to leave. What I'm about to do, you can have no part of."
JACOLINE:
"I'm not going anywhere until you talk to me."
LARSEN:
"Leave! From now on, don't call me, don't show up at my apartment. From now on as far as your concerned I'm dead. Leave that way, and you'll be much happier."
Larsen walks into the building and leaves her on the street. He walks into his apartment, slams the door and throws his keys across the room. The one window in his apartment has now been boarded up, and Streppner's blood still stains the cheap carpet on the floor. Larsen sits down on his mattress.
Why can't she just leave me alone? I never wanted her to be involved in all of this. Now because I let my guard down, and let her into my life, she is in constant danger. I can't be responsible if anything happens to her. I couldn't live with myself if something happened to her. I have no choice but to cut all ties if I'm going to continue on the path I'm going down.
Larsen pulls off his shoes and takes off his shirt. He lies back on the mattress.
With Streppner currently out of the picture, Tau is the only lead I have. He obviously wants me to know the truth, otherwise he wouldn't have left me that picture. I have to find out what he knows. I can't sit back any longer just waiting for Streppner to wake up. That day may never come. If I am going to learn who I truly am, then Tau is the only way. I have to stay the course.
Larsen reaches over and grabs his phone. He pulls a piece of paper with a number written down on it.
Let's just hope this phone number from Streppner's file is good.
Larsen dials the number. It rings a few times, and then Tau answers.
Tau:
"Who is this?"
LARSEN:
"Streppner's lying half dead on a hospital bed, I have a picture of me and him together from before my amnesia, and I still have a scar from the stitches I received after our last meeting. Now do you know who this is?"
TAU:
"Where did you get this number?"
LARSEN:
"That doesn't matter. We need to meet again."
TAU:
"Why? Is one scar not enough for you?"
LARSEN:
"You won't want to give me one when you here what I have to say. Meet me at the park where we first met in 3 days at midnight. Come alone, and we will talk."
TAU:
"Why would you trust me to come alone?"
LARSEN:
"Because you've had two chances to kill me and you haven't yet, and as far as I know you haven't lied to me yet. I'm pretty sure right now that you're the only one I can trust."
TAU:
"I will be there."[/i]

"At Spring Breakdown, I accomplished my goal. No I did not win the SWA Championsip, but honestly, that was only my secondary goal. My primary goal was to ensure that The Sedition did not leave with the gold, and that goal was accomplished. Gabreal and I pushed each other to the limit, and beyond, but neither one of us walked away as champion. There was someone better that night, and I personally offer my congratulations to Ian DeTornado on a job well done. I am sure we will meet again in the future, but not yet. First I have more important business to attend to. I may have kept The Sedition from gaining their victory at Spring Breakdown, but that won't stop them from trying to sway things in the favour in the future. So I promise The Sedition this, everytime you try to tip the scales in your favor, I will be there to balance the wieght. I will be a thorn in your sides. I will continue to wage this war until I am satisfied that you have suffered enough for nearly turning me into a monster.
In the meantime I look towards this Saturday where I will do battle with "The Geriatric One". I will not make the mistake that many others have made and overlook your abilities because of your age. It is clear to me that you are much more dangerous in the ring that most people seem to think. I have seen you scrap with the best of them. You may not always win, but you always give it your all. For this, you have earned my respect. I fully expect you to bring the fight to me with all guns blazing, and I look forward to that very much. I am not looking for an easy road here in the SWA, as our little friend Gabreal Martin is. I'm not looking to have anything handed to me. I wish to earn my every accolade here, and what better way to start than to take out an SWA original. Your resume is long, and impressive, but I am not intimidated by resumes.
I am confident that I can defeat you, and I don't seek the answers to victory at the local video store. For, the real battle that will happen is not in the ring, but rather in the mind. The truth is, many men can outfight me. There are many who are stronger, and more talented in the ring than I, but few can out think me. The trick is to know your next step. I have lived my life this way, and I fight my battles this way. You are a man who seems to wing it. You make quick emotional decisions, and don't think them through. This is why you are a man on the run. You made an emotional decision to escape from the nursing home, and now you are living like a fugitive. Instead of staying a step ahead of you enemy, your enemy is always right on your tail. You rely on someone else to fight your battles for you. This is why I say that your mind is tired. In your case, the flesh may be willing, but the spirit is weak. I look forward to this contest, though I am more than confident that it will be my hand raised in the air when it's all said and done. The more I succeed here, the less The Sedition will be able to ignore me."
