- Captain Insanity leans against the living room wall of his modest apartment, Got Milk? sitting on the couch, watching a re-air of Saturday Night Fever. The two men watch the show excitedly waiting for themselves to appear. A teenage girl stands near the couch, looking back and forth between Got Milk? and Insanity. Got Milk? bursts into a chorus of excited moo’s as they rush down the backstage corridor on the television. –
Girl: Seriously? You want me to babysit these two ‘tards? Ewww.
CI: It’s only 3 days a week.
Girl: What part of ‘eww’ don’t you get?
- The girl turns and leaves. Insanity sighs as he picks up the TV remote from the couch arm. He flicks off the TV, causing Got Milk? to protest loudly. –
CI: Oh shut up. You’re lucky they only caught you snooping around in Skippy’s office and not the women’s bathroom. Remember what the judge said last time?
- Got Milk? quickly falls silent, avoiding eye contact with each other and Captain Insanity. Insanity heads towards the kitchen and it’s beer stocked fridge. Captain Insanity leans against the counter as he twists open a cold beer and takes a long drink from the bottle. –
CI: Ugh, what am I going to do with you two idiots?

- Insanity walks across the parking lot of the social services building. He pushes open the door and walks inside; scanning the directory listing he enters the closest elevator and punches the button. When the elevator doors slide open on the 10th floor, Insanity steps off and pushes open a door labeled ‘Mental Health Services’. Insanity looks around the crowded waiting room. He sits down and waits. Hours pass. Insanity stands up and walks out of the office, tired of waiting.
Outside Insanity starts to walk down the busy streets of Toronto. –
CI: The time is finally upon us, SWA’s first Pay-Per-View event; the first title up for grabs. At the end of Spring Breakdown someone will be declared World Champion. Who will it be? One of the various rookies of SWA? Roko? Sean Smith? While you have a theoretical chance to become champion, let’s be realistic; you’re seat fillers, First rounder match ups for the real contenders. This isn’t personal; it’s just the nature of the business.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I’m not here for the World title, I’m here for something closer to my heart, the Extreme Combat title. So why enter myself into a tournament for the World title you ask? Simple, leverage. Doing well and winning gives me leverage to obtain the title I truly seek. I don’t need to win this tournament to become a champion, but rather cause enough damage to remind management why I’m three time Extreme Combat champion. Should I happen to be crowned World Champion, well then it gives me even more buying power. I’ll have a title that grants me even more pull and influence around here.
The real threats of this tournament are the veterans of this company are Kiljoy, Hawthorne and sadly Teen Throb. Teen Throb barely makes the list, he’s either going to be distracted by his little concert getting canned by Rev, Gladiator and Saint; or it’s going to motivate him to put it all on the line. With any luck Hawthorne and Kiljoy will meet up in the second rounds and focus on their long standing rivalry and lose sight of the big picture.
Other possible victors would have to be Van Der Kamp, Cannabis and Gabreal Martin. These are three men with respectable careers in this business but limited SWA experience. It’s their limited time in SWA that’s going to limit them from obtaining gold, at least for a while. This place isn’t like other corporations, Rev and Gladiator always have a twist or a scheme that SWA newcomers over look or take for granted. Those of us that have been around SWA and The Sedition know that nothing is what it seems, we know not to take anything at face value and to expect some crazy, hair brain plot to unfold. Atleast, I have come to expect this from the Sedition. I guess take this prediction more a warning, don’t rely on your wave of success elsewhere.
