LARSEN:
“Tell me what I want to know or I swear I will blow your head off.”
TAU:
“Go ahead, in 2 minutes my associates are going to walk through that door. When they find me dead, they’ll find out that it was you. Then they will track you down and make you watch as they torture your little coffee shop girl, then they’ll kill you. Leave now, and what has happened here will go no further than these walls, and you can live in peace. Push any harder, and I won’t be able to prevent what will happen to you.”
Larsen waits for a moment then backs off. He steps away still pointing the gun at Tau.
LARSEN:
“Why are you so interested in keeping me alive?”
TAU:
“You may never understand this, but in a strange, screwed up kind of way, you’re like family to me. I don’t want anything bad to happen to you.”
The lights of a truck approach the warehouse. The doors close and people approach the door.
LARSEN:
“I’m not going to give up you know. I’m going to find out the truth.”
Larsen starts to walk away.
TAU:
“Then point a gun to Streppner’s head. He’ll crack quicker than me.”
Larsen stops in his tracks.
LARSEN:
“What did you say?”
TAU:
“Goodbye old friend.”
Someone comes from behind and clubs Larsen over the head with a crowbar. Larsen drops down to the ground out cold.
MAN:
“What do you want us to do with him boss?”
TAU:
“Take him to his apartment. Leave him there.”
MAN:
“That’s it.”
TAU:
“Leave this in his pocket, and tell no one that he was here.”
Tau hands something to the man. The man puts it in Larsen’s pants pocket. He picks him up and carries him out the door. He throws Larsen in the truck and drives away.
“Tell me what I want to know or I swear I will blow your head off.”

Tau hands something to the man. The man puts it in Larsen’s pants pocket. He picks him up and carries him out the door. He throws Larsen in the truck and drives away.
Larsen lies on the floor of his apartment. He slowly begins to come to his senses. He wakes up and looks around realizing where he is. He grabs the back of his head and wipes some dry blood from his forehead.
How did I end up back here?
Larsen slowly stands up to his feet. He looks around the apartment to make sure no one else is around.
Why didn’t Tau just kill me? He had the perfect opportunity. Why bring me back here?
Larsen reaches puts his hands down at his side and notices something in his pocket. He pulls out the picture that was placed there by Tau’s man. Larsen tries to focus on the picture, but seems to be having trouble. He sits down at his desk and flips on a lamp. He looks down at the picture, and a look of confusion comes across his face. The picture is of a younger Larsen, and a younger Officer Streppner. Larsen is sitting in a car in an alley and Streppner is leaning in the window. It appears to be some type of surveilance photo. The date on the corner of the picture is 2005.
What is this? It couldn’t be. 2005, that’s 1 year before I lost my memory.
Larsen leans back and rubs his head.
So Streppner has been lying to me from day 1. He knew me all along, and has been hiding it from me. Why wouldn’t he tell me this? Unless he’s hiding something. The only reason he would keep me in the dark is if I knew something that could cause him damage.
Larsen stands up and looks around the suite. He sees his cell phone sitting on the kitchen counter.
It’s time to find out what my friend is up to.
Larsen picks up the phone and dials Streppner’s number.
STREPPNER:
”Hello.”
LARSEN:
“Klaus, it’s Larsen. You were right about Tau. I found him thanks to the intel you gave me. I need to see you right away.”
STREPPNER:
”I knew it. I knew the information was good. I can’t tell you how glad I am to hear that. Why don‘t you come on down to the station and we‘ll talk about it?”
LARSEN:
“No. You should come here. Let’s just say that our meeting was not without it’s snags. I’m still feeling the effects some.”
STREPPNER:
”Ok, I’m on my way.”
LARSEN:
“I’ll be expecting you.”
Larsen closes the phone and places it back down on the counter. He takes his gun and puts it in his desk drawer.
Finally I’m getting somewhere. The pieces are starting to fall into place. Tau isn’t exactly someone I want to associate with, but for some strange reason I really feel like I should trust him. He has had 2 chances to kill me now, but he didn’t. This picture just proves what everyone has been telling me. Streppner can’t be trusted.
Larsen looks down at the picture and shakes his head. He puts the picture in the drawer with his gun.
I can’t believe he’s been lying to me all this time. Everything he has told me in the last 3 years has been a lie. The lies stop tonight.
Someone knocks on the door. Larsen takes a deep breath.
LARSEN:
“Come in.”
Streppner walks in the apartment. He looks at the dried blood on Larsen‘s forehead.
STREPPNER:
“Larsen, what did they do to you.?”
Larsen swings a punch and hits Streppner hard to the chin. Streppner drops down to the ground. Larsen puts his knee down on Streppner’s chest and grabs him by the hair.
STREPPNER:
“What are you doing?”
LARSEN:
“I should ask you the same thing. All this time, all these years you’ve been lying to me.”
STREPPNER:
“Larsen, I have never lied to you.”
LARSEN:
“Stop, just stop. The charade is over. I know that you’ve been lying to me. Don’t lie there and tell me that you haven’t.”
STREPPNER:
“I don’t know what you are talking about.”
LARSEN:
“Oh really, then let me enlighten you.”
Larsen gets off of Streppner. He walks to the desk and takes the picture out of the drawer. Streppner gets up on his feet and spits some blood out of his mouth. Larsen throws the picture.
LARSEN:
“Look at the picture, then tell me you don’t know what I’m talking about.”
Streppner bends down and picks up the picture. He takes a long look at it and let’s out a sigh.
STREPPNER:
“Where did you get this?”
LARSEN:
“I don’t think you’re in a position to be asking questions. You better start talking and you better start talking fast. Don’t make me force you to talk. You of all people should know how far I am willing to go to find out the truth.”
STREPPNER:
“It’s not that easy Larsen. The truth is not something that will be easy for you to hear.”
LARSEN:
“It’ll be much easier than hearing more lies.”
Streppner hangs his head. He looks up at Larsen.
STREPPNER:
“You have to understand Larsen, I never wanted to lie to you. I did it for your own good.”
LARSEN:
“It’s not your decision to make. We’re talking about my life here. I need to know. Start talking.”
Streppner pauses for a long moment.
STREPPNER:
“Ok, I’ll tell you the truth. The truth is, you were…”
In mid sentence a gunshot is heard. A bullet shatters Larsen’s window and hits Streppner in the neck. Streppner drops to the ground and grips his neck as blood pours through his fingers. Larsen grabs his phone off the kitchen counter and calls 911.
------------------------
Larsen waits in the hospital waiting room. A young police officer walks up to him.
OFFICER:
“So, your story checks out. They found a shell in the building adjacent to yours. We still need to get it to the lab, but I’m confident that it will match the bullet they retrieved from Officer Streppner.”
LARSEN:
“How is he? I need to speak with him.”
OFFICER:
“ He’s alive, but he’s in critical condition. He’s completely unresponsive. The doctor’s are questioning whether he’ll ever bounce back.”
LARSEN:
“No, that can’t be. I need him to be ok. He has information that I need.”
OFFICER:
“I’m sorry. There’s nothing more that can be done right now. The doctors are doing everything you can. If you leave me your contact information, I will contact you as soon as we find out anything new.”
LARSEN:
“Fine. Please let me know as soon as he starts responding.”
OFFICER:
“I will.”
Larsen leaves the hospital. He starts walking down the street.
How can I get so close, yet so far away? I finally start to get somewhere and everything goes wrong. What is so important in my past that everyone wants to cover it up? Why is the secret worth someone’s life? I’m not sure if Streppner is a good man or not, but I do know that he doesn’t deserve this. I can only hope and pray that he pulls through. I can only hope and pray that I will be alive long enough to see him pull through. I can be next for all I know. I can only hope that Tau meant what he said, when he said that he wants me alive. Somehow I will get to the bottom of this. I just have no idea how. Everything around me seems to be falling apart, and my best lead is lying in a hospital bed, and I am helpless to do anything about it. All I can do now is wait, and that is what I will do.”
--------------------------
”Over one long month of waiting. Waiting for something that seems to never come. Sacrificing my career and my future sitting next to a hospital bed waiting. I lost my shot at the EWC Undisputed Championship, because my mind was elsewhere, wondering if Streppner would ever wake up. Wondering if I will ever find out what he was about to tell me. The time for waiting has ended. It's time for me to come back on the scene. A man can only beat a dead horse for so long before he realizes that he is accomplishing nothing. Where did waiting get me... nowhere. So it's back to square one. As Streppner lies in a hospital bed comatose and fighting for his life, I have my own battle to fight. So why return to the ring after everything that has happened, the answer is simple. The closest I ever got to knowing my past was while I was competing in the EWC, I believe that indulging in this fighting instinct that is in me, gave me the drive, the boldness, and the courage to pursue every lead no matter how dangerous it may be. Wrestling gave me a confidence that made me feel invincible, and that's what I will need to be if I am to start from square one once again.
The other reason I am returning is, revenge. I was once made a promise by The Rev and Gladiator. They promised me that if I did their bidding and did things that went against my every instinct, and my moral fiber, that they would use their resources to help me find the truth. What came of this promise? Nothing. These men pushed me into a war with the most evil and sadistic man I have ever encountered, and the level they pushed me to almost caused me to turn into the very evil I was trying to fight. For this I received nothing in return. Now I watch and see The Sedition surrounding themselves with new lackies to do their bidding, only these men aren't being held at ransom as I am. I am making it my mission to destroy The Sedition, one member at a time. This week I will have the opportunity at taking my first strike against The Sedition. Spring Breakdown for me is less about winning the title, and more about gaining my revenge on The Rev and Gladiator. If I can defeat their Golden Boys, and prevent them from being crowned SWA Champion, it will strike a fatal blow at the bosses.
I can only hope for the opportunity to face one of these men, as I am sure Rev and Gladiator will do everything they can to ensure that Kid Cannabis and Gabreal Martin get to coast to the finals. Gabreal Martin has been labeled as "The Chosen One". So far he has been very unimpressive. He has done little else than get under Michael Saint's skin. He may be skilled at being loud, obnoxious, and ignorant, but I have seen little else from him. Kid Cannabis on the other hand has been very impressive. He has rolled through the competition so far here in the SWA. I don't for one second believe that it will be easy to pull off a victory against him, but I am determined to do whatever it takes to put every member of The Sedition in their place. It may not be an easy road, but it is one that I am willing to travel. I once tried to live my life without indulging in the emotional desire for revenge, but as I watched everything around me fall apart I realized the folly in this. If you don't strike back at those who wrong you, you allow them to do it again, and again. I will not be used anymore.
The rest of the roster here in the SWA are exactly the type of people I would expect Rev and Gladiator to associate themselves with. Insane clowns, egomaniacs, boy band comedy acts, adrenaline junkies and senile old men. I have nothing against any of these men, but if they stand in the way of me getting to The Sedition, I will have to meet them with force. I have a mission to accomplish, and that mission is to destroy The Sedition. Spring Breakdown has given me the perfect opportunity to accomplish that mission. I will defeat The Sedition, and I will become the next SWA Champion."
