The match lasted only 5 minutes, and Backlund got the win, but Hawthorne is proud of this none the less. He made his return to the wrestling world 10 years ago when he came to the SWA to teach these darn youngsters what wrestling is all about. During his time in the SWA he became the SWA TV Champion. Now after the passing of his wife, his children have placed him in a retirement home due to him suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Lonely, Bitter, and crankier than ever, he now looks to make his return to the SWA and teach a new breed of youngsters what wrestling is all about. He figures if Ronald Reagan can be the President of The United States with Alzheimer’s than surely he can still be a wrestler.
