Yay. Might as well start it up. Tyler Black is the new champion. Briscoes still talk like they listen to way to much rap music. Kevin Steen shaved the moster beard. Sonjay is looking for "swaggah". And Davey is ROH's future star. Hmmm.... what else is there to talk about?

At the 8th Anniversary Show Necro Butcher effed up Joey Ryan pretty bad. You should get a look at him in the latest video wire

I'll take a look at that. Who do you want to win the #1 Contender's Match? Dark City Fight Club or American Wolves? I want the Wolves. Every single time I see Edwards slap in the Single Leg Crab, I mark out in my mind.

I want to see the Wolves win, but eventually I think Eddie is going to turn on Davey. Davey has sort of been the center of attention in ROH since his match with Danielson a few months back where Danielson said that Davey was the best wrestler in the world not him. Davey went on to get a push while Eddie is stuck doing nothing. It will all start in the TV title tournament and come to a head in the couple months I have a feeling. Bad news is a really good team will get broken up. Good news is the matches will be awesome to watch.

I like Dark City Fight Club, but they are like the Goldberg of tag-teams. They could probably go on a winning streak, but all they go are mindless powerhouse spots. The difference is that I could probably watch their Pounces, nonstop, for like a week, where as I was tired of the JackHammer aftter a couple of monthes.

Yeah DCFC is an ok team. I think they have only lost to like 3 teams in ROH so far. Steenerico, Bucks, and Briscoe's. The match with Steenerico was good and competitive. The matches with The Bucks were one sided. The DCFC destroyed the Bucks for about ten minutes and then one of the Bucks pulled out an upset pin. I have to admit I dig their double team finisher though that toss into a powerbomb/neckbreaker combo is a pretty BA move

If I ever become a wrestler for ROH, I would totally like to be in a tag-team with innovative team moves like theirs.

I was completely unfamiliar with ROH up until a few months ago. It's time slot here is Saturdays at noon, and up until recently I was always working. I've been able to check it out on a few occasions and was surprised that I liked it way better than TNA or WWE. It's pretty much the only place to see decent tag wrestling. For singles, I think Austin Aries is one of the best in ring performers I've seen, but he definitely needs some work on his mic skills. What I'm really excited about is the return of Steve Corino. He's from my hometown and has always been one of my favorites. I'm hoping to see him lose a few buckets worth of blood again. Nobody in this business takes a beating better than Corino.

Honestly Rev, if you watch it frequently and find the feuds out, then it really is a great show. However IMO I feel like there are many people from the ROH school that are not being pushed. I mean like Andy "Right Leg" Ridge. He has some potential. And when a man from your school has potential to be.. well at least upper-midcard, and you don't jump on that, you are mostly no-selling ROH's school. And that makes me very skeptical about ever going there because I feel like I would be really good at wrestling if I ever joined. And I would never want talent to be wasted.

That's very similar to old ECW. The really great talents like Justin Credible, Lance Storm, Steve Corino, Rhino and Jerry Lynn only started to get pushed out of necessity. They put all their focus on Raven, Mike Awesome, Sandman, Taz. It was only when all of those guys bailed that ECW started to push the real talent. Thankfully those guys did get a break when there were no other options, and I feel like the show improved once it moved away from the shock value of Raven, Sandman etc. Not to say those guys weren't great to watch, but in wrestling the real talent is always held back until they have no other choice but to use them. These ROH guys will probably get their chance. It just might be when the big guys get snatched up by TNA or WWE though.

Yea. That's true. But honestly, even if Ol' Right Leg never gets pushed, I will always choose ROH over TNA or WWE.

ROH is actually going to be in Canada soon Rev. I think that is where you are from. It is going to be in Mississauga, Ontario on March 20th. Looks like a good card too.
Aries/King vs Black/Strong
Davey Richards vs Kenny Omega
Generico vs Hero
Cabana vs Corino
Eddie Edwards vs Petey Williams

I have never seen a ROH show on TV, a friend talked me into going to one of their live event once. I had no idea who the guys were, but they put on a fantastic show. It was nice to see some real wrestling in contrast to the toned down shows of WWE and TNA.

They got Petey Williams too? Now I have to start watching it more frequently. One interesting thing I found was that Kenny Omega was also from my hometown of Winnipeg. I was reading his bio, and his history in the business sounds very similar to a guy my sister used to work at a call center with years ago. I'm going to have to ask her if he's the same guy now.

Kenny Omega is like the new age Chris Jericho from WCW. He has amazing skills and talented moves (Croyt's Wrath and Golden Shower w/ Kota Ibushi) along with insane charisma and comedic spots (Flash Man's Time Stopper. Hadouken. Greetings from Winnipeg. The list goes on)
