Your crazy prediction of CM Punk turned out to be on the money. I'm glad to say (as I know you're glad to be wrong) that Orton didn't win. Biggest surprise is by far Daniel Bryan's win. Never saw that coming. You didn't even mention him in your prediction. I don't think he's quite ready for this kind of push yet, but I think the guy is awesome, and with some good development, he can be a huge star.
If anyone saw Raw this past week there was a very interesting turn with Triple H assuming control of the company. I thought it was just another cheesy storyline like all the bad GM changes in years past, but the way the segment was handled, it seemed like something different. The final moments lead me to believe it may have been a legit passing of the torch from Vince to HHH.
This CM Punk thing has me watching faithfully week by week, something I haven't done for Raw in a long time. I'd love to see him continue.

Yeah, I was wrong about Del Rio cashing in though. Oh well, it's a much better storyline with Punk as champ. WWE is being really creative right now. They are really going out of there way to make people believe this is legit. Obviously Punk isn't really gone, Vince would have never let him leave with the title, but they are really going all out trying to prove the contrary. I'm loving it.
As for Daniel Bryan, I honestly didn't see that coming. Even watching the match I thought Barrett was going to grab the case as Bryan was choking Rhodes. I am pleasantly surprised. I agree that he isn't quite ready for this push, but that's kind of what MITB is all about. CM Punk didn't seem ready the first time he won the briefcase, and we all know how that turned out. I think he needs to be a little more serious and ditch his goofball side that WWE has showcased in the past, but I like seeing a pure WRESTLER get elevated in the day of oversized meatheads who know 5 moves getting all the attention.
If you have not seen this PPV, go out of your way to see it. Really there were only 2 good matches. I normally don't care for MITB matches, but the Smackdown one was awesome. Raw's was pretty lame. The Divas were terrible as usual. Henry and Big Slow did there best to entertain, but there best is far from good enough for me. Orton and Christian was good, but too short, and the stupid finish ruined it.
The Main event though was one of the best matches I have seen in a long time. There were no gimmicks, no cheap tricks, no dusty finish. Just some great straight wrestling. Even John Cena showed that he knows more than 5 moves. He actually stepped up and gave a great match. Plus he didn't do his dopey salute in his entrance. He played it straight for the whole match, had Punk kick out of his finisher twice, and lost clean. Great match.
